Customs Intelligence officials have recovered 12 gold bars and gold made chains weighing around 16 kilograms at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Customs Intelligence Assistant Director Umme Nahida Akhter said the gold bars and chains were recovered from a toilet of the airport around 11pm Friday.
She said: "The gold bars and chains are worth about Tk8 crore."
Customs officials detained one person for his suspicious movement in front of the toilet.
Detainee SM Nurul Islam is the owner of a billboard making company, said the Customs official.
