Two people, including a custodian of a local shrine have been found with their throats slit in Chittagong’s Baizid area.
Of the deceased, one has been identified as Abdul Kader, 35, the custodian of the shrine, “Lengta Babar Mazar.”
Chittagong Metropolitan Police (North) Deputy Commissioner Poritosh Ghosh told the Dhaka Tribune: “Two people, including Abdul Kader, were found with their throats slit at the shrine around 1:30pm Friday.
“The reason behind the murders could not be known immediately. Further investigation is underway.”
Chittagong Medical College Hospital police outpost SI Jahurul Islam said: “Critically injured Abdul Kader and the another unnamed victim were brought to the hospital, where the doctors declared them dead around 2pm.”
