A youth has been hacked to death by his rivals at Noyapara village under Lohagara upazila in Narail.
Deceased Saddam Sheikh, 25, was the son of Haru Sheikh of the village.
One Tuku Sheikh of the village got into a quarrel with Haru Sheikh over fishing in a local pond around 12am Wednesday.
At a stage, Tuku's supporters hacked Saddam severely. Later, he was taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital where he died around 4:30am.
Meanwhile, ten others were injured in the incident. They have bee admitted to different hospitals.
Lohaganj OC Sheikh Lutfar Rahman said: “We have detained a person in connection with the killing.”
