A Jubo Dal leader has been slaughtered by miscreants at Dakkhin Siladhi village under Lakshmipur Sadar upazila.
The deceased is Md Sobuj, 28, general secretary of ward 1 of Kushkhali union Jubo Dal. Lakshmipur Sadar (east) upazila Jubo Dal President Khaled Mohammad Kiron confirmed Sobuj's identity of his organisation.
Police said Sobuj's family had a dispute with another family of the locality. Miscreants might have killed him following the dispute on Thursday night.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue.
ASP of Lakshmipur circle Junayed Kawsar said four people were detained in this connection.
