A body of a man has been recovered by police from his residence in Tangail district town on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Khandaker Razu Miah, 38, son of Khandaker Rustam Ali, of Munshipara area of the town.
Ashrafuzzaman Sub-Inspector of Tangail Model police station said on information police recovered the body from his residence and sent it to Tangail Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Some injury marks were found on his body and the cause of death will be known after getting autopsy report, the police official said.
Razib Miah, younger brother of the deceased, said extra marital affair with a housewife of their neighbour might be the cause behind the killing.
