Police have recovered decomposed body of a woman from the river Banar in Kapasia of Gazipur district on Monday afternoon.
Her identity was not known, age estimated to be 40 to 45.
Officer in Charge (OC) Ahsan Ullah Kapasia Police Station said locals informed police seeing the woman's body floating around 4pm.
Her body was recovered later around 5pm and sent to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
