A school student has allegedly committed suicide in Jatrabari area of the capital as he could not pass school examination.
The deceased Mahfujur Rahaman Kajol, 16, son of Nasir Uddin was a class X student of Jatrabari Ideal School and College.
According to family sources, Kajol’s parent slurred him for bad results on Sunday noon.
After the scuffle, he committed suicide by hanging himself around 6pm in the evening.
Later, his parents along with locals rescued him and rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on duty doctors declared him dead around 7pm.
DMCH police outpost in charge Inspector Mijammel Haq confirmed the death to the Dhaka Tribune.
