A domestic help has brutally been tortured by her employers in Napiter Pool area of Chowmuhani Purba Bazar under Begumganj upazila in Noakhali.
Victim Bibi Amena, 14, is undergoing treatment at Begumganj Upazila Health Complex.
Amena said her employer Niluba Khatun and her husband Md Saiful Islam used to torture her over various excuses for the last one year.
After being failed to find her sleeping pills, the housewife tortured Amena brutally on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The woman poured chili powder in the eye and mouth of Amena, threw hot water on her body and beaten her with hot iron rod, Amena said.
Injured Amena told a neighbour about the torture. The woman informed the matter to the Begumganj police.
On information, Begumganj police Sub-Inspector Belayet Hossain reached the spot and rescued Amena around 1am Thursday and admitted her to Begumganj Upazila Health Complex.
After the incident, the family members of the house went on hiding.
