A college student has been killed allegedly by his college fellow over previous enmity on the campus of Shachindra Degree College in Baniachang upazila in the district.
The victim was identified as Sumon Ahmed, 18, a class XI student of Humanities Group of the college, said Baniachang OC Nirmulendhu Chakrabarty.
Sumon, son of Mukhlech Mia, hailed from Islampur village of the upazila.
Sumon engaged in altercation with his college fellow Shihab following previous hostility. At one stage, they engaged in clash that left Sumon injured.
Sumon was rushed to Habiganj sadar hospital where doctors declared him dead.
