A suspected drug peddler has been killed in a “gunfight” with the members of Rapid Action Battalion in Potenga area in Chittagong district.
The deceased is Zafar, the prime accused in the case filed over the recovery of 5 lakh yaba tablets.
RAB legal and media wing Assistant Director Major Maksudul Alam said Zafar was killed in a “gunfight” with RAB 7 officials on Sunday.
He said a total of 10,000 yaba tablets and two pistols were recovered from the spot.
