Two criminals raped a teenaged girl after drugging her with sleeping pills at Beltoil village in Sreepur upazila of the district yesterday.
The father of the girl said Mozammel Haque,28, son of Abdul Majid of Beltoil village and Alam, 28, of son of Abdul Hamid of Bartopa village raped his daughter.
He said the duo took her daughter in the jungle nearby their house and made her unconscious by doping sleeping pills and raped her brutally during the night.
In the morning, locals rescued the girl in critical condition and sent her to local clinic.
Around10pm, the father went to Sreepur police station to file a case in this connection.
“Inspector Jahidul Islam forced me not file a case in connection with the incident,” he said.
When contacted, Jahidul said that the girl had a relation of affairs with one of the persons.
Later, Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of the police station, filed a case when local journalists informed him about the incident.
