Members of Bangladesh Army arrested absconding Ansar member Rafiqul Islam from Chowdhurypara of Dighinala upazila yesterday for allegedly killing his colleague.
Dighinala police station Officer-in-Charge Shahadat Hossain Titu said an army patrol team from Dighinila zone arrested Rafiqul around 4pm while trying to go to Longdu in Rangamati.
Earlier, a joint team of police and army recovered an abandoned 3 not 3 rifle and 80 bullets from Amirbari in Alinagar around 11:30am.
Amir Hossain, 55, commander of Ansar post (security camp) and a resident of Panchhari upazila in the district, was shot dead.
