The body of a schoolboy has been found in the district's Kachua upazila on Thursday, five days after he went missing.
The police recovered the body of seventh grader Milon Hossain, 12, from a paddy field in Kandirpar area of Gohat Dakkhin union in the morning.
The police also detained three persons--Shohag, Rabbi and Shamim-- for their alleged involvement in the abduction and killing, said OC Ibrahim Khalil of Kachua police station.
He said: “Locals noticed the body and informed the police. We have sent the body to Chandpur Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
“We also detained three persons for quizzing on suspicion.”
