Two siblings, who were abducted from Savar municipality area on Tuesday, have been rescued by police.
Seven-year-old Monir and his three-year-old brother Billar, sons of Momin, were rescued from Bhakurta area on Thursday afternoon.
Police also arrested kidnapper Sobuj, 25.
Sobuj, who is a neighbour of Momin, abducted the duo on Tuesday evening. Later, he phoned Momin and demanded Tk2 lakh ransom on Wednesday.
Then, Momin informed Savar model police station about the incident.
Savar model police station ASP Rasel Sheikh said police first arrested Sobuj's father from Aminbazar area.
"Based on his information, police detained Sobuj and rescued the children from Bhakurta area," he added.
