A day labourer has been stabbed to death by unidentified assailants in capital's Jurain area.
The deceased is Mohammad Joynal Abedin, son of Abdul Kader and a resident of Jurain under Kadamtali police station.
Joynal's son Mohammad Solaiman said: “Two to three assailants stabbed my father indiscriminately when we left the house for work around 6:30am Thursday.”
He said the doctor declared Joynal dead when taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 7:35am.
“My father had a conflict with some people of the area over his work,” he said.
DMCH Police Outpost In-Charge Mozammel Hoque confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
