Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members have detained three members of banned Islamist outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir in Muradpur area of Chittagong city early Monday.
The detainees are Muntasir Alam, a teacher of an English medium school; Nur Mohammad, an advocate of a judge court; and AKM Salahuddin.
RAB 7 media wing Deputy Director Sohel Mahmud told the Dhaka Tribune that the three Hizb-ut Tahrir men were held during a drive around 1:30am.
The RAB personnel also seized leaflets, posters, jihadi books and a laptop from the possession of the detainees, he said.
Details regarding the drive will be briefed in a press conference later in the day.
