Special Branch Assistant Sub-Inspector Mahfuzur Rahman, who was detained with 680,000 pieces of yaba pills, has been placed on a three-day remand.
Feni Judicial Magistrate Alamgir Mohammad Faruki granted the remand after police placed ASI Mahmuzur and his driver Jabed before the court with a 10-day remand plea on Monday afternoon.
Feni model police station OC Shahnoor Islam said RAB 7 camp DAD Monirul Islam filed a case against the duo under Narcotics Control Act on Sunday night.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members detained ASI Mahfuzur and his driver in possession with 680,000 yaba tablets from Lalpur of Feni on Saturday night.
The elite force personnel also seized a private car from their possession.
