A schoolgirl, who has passed SSC examinations this year, was raped by her lover and his friends yesterday at Char Padmabila village in Kashiani upazila of the district.
The girl sat for SCC exams from Bathan Bhanga High School and scored good result.
On the day, she went out from home with her lover Hridoy and his two friends of the village to share the feelings of her result.
Sub-Inspector Enamul Haque Chowdhury of Kashiani police station said: “Hridoy and his friends Markin and Biru took the girl forcefully to a nearby jungle of her uncle’s house in the evening and raped her before fleeing.”
Later, the girl was rescued by her father and admitted to Gopalganj Hospital.
A case was filed in this connection.
