Police arrested a listed top terrorist with firearm, bullets and crude bomb in Chittagong city’s Chawkbazar area Wednesday night.
The arrestee is Mohammed Farid, 40.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Aziz Ahmed of Chawkbazar police said Farid was arrested from Chanmian Munshi Lane area following a tip-off at around 8:15pm.
Police recovered a rifle, 57 rounds of bullets and six crude bombs from his possession, the OC said.
OC Aziz added Farid is a listed terrorist and was accused in seven cases filed in connection with arms and extortion cases with Chawkbazar police.
