Former municipal councillor Masudur Rahman Masud and Nasiruddin Noor surrendered before the court of Tangail's first Additional District and Sessions Judge on Saturday morning and pleaded for bail.
Judge Abul Monsur Mia turned down their bail petitions and sent them to jail, the case's investigation officer Ashok Kumar Singha said.
Amanur Rahman Khan Rana, the ruling Awami League MP from Tangail 3 constituency, surrendered in the same case last week. He is currently being kept at Kashimpur prison.
Freedom fighter Faruk Ahmmed, also a local Awami League leader, was found murdered in front of his house in Tangail on the night of January 18, 2013. His wife filed a murder case at Tangail Model police station.
The court issued arrest warrants for 10 people, including Rana and his three brothers, for the murder. It also ordered confiscating their properties.
In August 2014, police arrested two cohorts of Rana who gave confessional statement before a court.
Police pressed charges against 14 men in court on February 3. On April 6, a court accepted charges against 10 men and issued a warrant for their arrest.
Apart from those who turned themselves in, the other accused are Rana's three brothers Sahidur Rahman Khan Mukti, Jahidur Rahman Khan Kakon, and Saniyat Khan Bappa; Kabir Hossain, Darowan Babu, Alamgir Hossain Chane, and Sanowar Hossain.
The seven accused are on the run.
