The International Crimes Tribunal is set to hear the charge-framing proceedings against BGB officer Lt Col Redwanul Islam and four others in a case involving crimes against humanity over the killing of 28 people in Rampura during the July–August Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
The accused were brought to the tribunal from the special prison inside Dhaka Cantonment under tight security on Thursday.
The prosecution is scheduled to place its submissions on the framing of charges before a three-member bench of Tribunal-1, headed by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder.
Security around the tribunal premises remained heavy, with additional police deployed alongside members of RAB, BGB, and the army.
