A Narayanganj court on Sunday placed Selina Hayat Ivy, former mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC), on a two-day remand in connection with a case filed at Siddhirganj police station.
Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Nour Mohsin passed the order after police produced her before the court with a seven-day remand plea, said court inspector Kaiyum Khan.
Police arrested Ivy from her residence on May 9 in connection with the murder of Siddhirganj garment worker Minarul Islam during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
She is wanted in six cases filed with Siddhirganj and Fatulla police stations.
