A Dhaka court on Wednesday placed Safi Muddassir Khan Jyoti, the son of former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, on a three-day remand in connection with a case filed over the attempted murder of medical staff member Tanim Abdullah Nahin at the capital's Rampura police station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Muhammad Junaid issued the order after the police presented Jyoti before the court and requested a five-day remand.

His mother, Naznin Kabir, filed the case on September 26, 2024.
Muddassir Khan Jyoti was arrested from a house in the city's Uttara area on September 13, 2024.
