The High Court has ordered the immediate removal of all photos of the child rape survivor in Magura from social media, directing the BTRC to enforce the order without delay.
Taking cognizance of a newspaper report, the High Court bench comprising Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Debasish Roy Chowdhury issued the order on Sunday.
Barrister Mahsib Hossain brought the newspaper report to the court’s attention. During the hearing, he urged the court to take necessary measures to protect the child's health.
On Wednesday, an 8-year-old child was raped at her sister's house in Magura.
The child’s condition is critical, and she was transferred from the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Dhaka Medical College Hospital to CMH Hospital.
In connection with the incident, Magura police have arrested four people so far.
