In light of the current situation in the country, security around the Supreme Court and its surrounding areas has been heightened.
Since Saturday morning, members of the armed forces, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), police, and other law enforcement agencies have been stationed in the area.
Md Minhajul Islam deputy commissioner of the Supreme Court and Special Court Security Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the information.
Khalid Mansur, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shahbagh police station said: "Under the directives of senior officials, the police force has been increased around the Supreme Court and its vicinity."
