Salman, Anisul, Palak, Manik, Mamun shown arrested in multiple murder cases

A Dhaka court has granted an application to arrest former prime minister Sheikh Hasina's adviser Salman F Rahman, former law minister Anisul Huq, former state minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak, former justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, and former IGP Abdullah Al Mamun in connection with several murder cases.

The accused were brought from jail to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court in Dhaka on Wednesday morning. They were kept in the CMM jail before being presented in court at 8:10am.

Police requested the court to show the arrests of these individuals in connection with multiple cases, including 13 murder cases from the Badda, Lalbagh, Adabar, and Khilgaon police stations in Dhaka.

Following the hearing, Metropolitan Magistrate Zaki Al Farabi's court granted the application for their arrests in the various cases. After the hearing, the accused were returned to jail.

Police Inspector Asaduzzaman of the GR branch of the court confirmed the development.
