A Dhaka court on Thursday granted bail to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's advisor Ataur Rahman Dhali in another case of vandalism filed in connection with Ramna Model Police Station.
With this, he has been granted bail to nine cases.
As a result, there is no obstacle to his release from prison, according to his lawyer Syed Zainul Abedin Mejbah.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sultan Sohag Uddin passed the order after a hearing in the afternoon.
On March 6, the same court granted bail in five separate cases, including the attack on the residence of the Chief Justice.
He also said that Dhali was made accused in nine cases and he was granted bail in all cases.
“Hopefully, he will be released from prison on Friday,” said the lawyer.
On November 21, 2023, Ataur Rahman Dhali was arrested from Mohammadpur. He has been in prison ever since.
