Update : 19 Oct 2021, 10:39 PM

A Dhaka court on Tuesday dismissed the case filed against Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam under the Digital Security Act (DSA).

Dhaka Cyber Tribunal Judge Mohammad Ash Shams Joglul Hossain passed the order as he did not find any grounds to take the allegation against the accused into cognizance.

Md Abdur Rahim, a businessman, filed the case with the Cyber Tribunal under sections 25 and 29 of DSA.

According to the case statement, the complainant took some lands from the government through the Ministry of Land for the rehabilitation of slum dwellers. Mayor Atiqul encouraged others to occupy the land of this project by various means.
