A mobile court fined a pickup van driver carrying a group of people playing loud music and dancing during a picnic in Dinajpur on Friday.
UNO and Executive Magistrate Parimal Kumar Sarker fined him Tk10,000, failure to pay which will lead to 15 days in jail.
The pickup van was on its way to a picnic with 25 minors from in front of Birampur Government College around 11:30am, said Birampur police station Officer-in-Charge Suman Kumar.
They were blaring loud music on a soundbox when stopped midway, he added.
The magistrate also found that the driver had not been carrying a valid license either.
The minors who were going to Paharpur and Naogaon from Nababganj have been handed over to their guardians.
