Supreme Court forms panel to probe graft allegations against its employees
The committee has been formed as per direction of the newly appointed chief justice

The apex court has formed a committee to probe the allegations of irregularities and corruption against its officials and employees.
The two-member committee has High Court division Additional Registrar Md Abdur Rahman and Deputy Registrar (Finance) Md Mizanur Rahman as its members.
The body has been formed as per directives of newly-appointed Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique, said Supreme Court spokesperson Mohammad Saifur Rahman.
He took oath on December 31 as the 23rd chief justice of Bangladesh.
After joining office, the chief justice said that he would not tolerate any corruption.
“Corruption is like cancer. If there is cancer in a finger, it has to be cut off – the same principle also applies to corruption,” he remarked at a reception ceremony on the Supreme Court premises on January 2.
He talked about eliminating corruption from the judicial system and improving coordination between the lawyers and judges.
Besides, the chief justice called upon all state agencies to cooperate with the judiciary to help it function better.
