A Dhaka court on Tuesday imposed a travel ban against three people, including former managing director (MD) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Abdul Munir Mosaddeq Ahmed, over corruption charges.
Dhaka Senior Special Judge KM Emrul Kayesh issued the order after the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) submitted petitions seeking a travel ban on the three persons.
A directive was sent to the Department of Immigration of the Special Branch (SB) of Police regarding the travel ban against the three graft suspects, court sources said.
The two others are Director in-charge of Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Lokman Hossain Bhuiyan and Kalabagan Krira Chakra Club President Shafiqul Alam Feroz.
Earlier on June 13, the court imposed a travel ban on six corrupt suspects, including Whip Shamsul Haque Chowdhury, so that they could not flee the country.

The court passed the order after the ACC sought a travel ban on the six people, mentioning that the accused were trying to leave the country.
The five others are lawmakers Moazzem Hossain Ratan of Sunamganj-1, Nurunnabi Chowdhury Shawon of Bhola-3, Housing and Public Works Ministry’s joint chief Sazzadul Islam, former additional chief engineer Md Abdul Hai and Abul Kalam Azad of Dhaka Wanderers Club.
On September 30, 2019, the anti-graft watchdog launched a probe against those who had amassed illegal wealth from an illicit casino business where the names of these nine suspects cropped up.
