A Khulna court on Wednesday sentenced twenty six people to life term imprisonment in a case for killing a man named Bony Mollah at Bishnupur village in Kalia upazila of Narail in 2019.
Divisional Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge Md Nazrul Islam Hawladar passed the order in the afternoon.
The court, however, acquitted four other accused as the allegation brought against them could not be proved.
According to the prosecution, Bony Mollah, 30, son of Hasim Mollah was hacked by miscreants on May 11, 2019 over previous enmity near his house.
The family members took him to Khulna Hospital in critical condition where the on duty doctor declared him dead.
After two days of the murder, the father of deceased filed a case accusing 32 people.
On March 15, 2020, SI Iqram Hossain of Kalia police station submitted a charge sheet against 30 people.
