The High Court (HC) on Monday granted anticipatory bail to Shariful Islam Zinnah, Jatiya Party lawmaker of Bogra-2 constituency, for three weeks in a graft case.
A virtual bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukdar and Justice Mohi Uddin Shamim passed the order.
The High Court also asked the lawmaker to surrender before the court within this time frame.
The Jatiya Party lawmaker appealed for anticipatory bail on Sunday.
Advocate Sheikh Muhammad Sirajul Islam and Munshi Moniruzzaman stood for the bail petition while Deputy Attorney General Amin Uddin Manik represented the state.
