The High Court on Tuesday released the full text of the verdict concerning the formation of the land survey appellate tribunal.
The court ordered the secretary of the Land Ministry to comply with the court's order and submit an affidavit in this regard within 90 days of receiving the judgment.
Where the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman struggled his whole life to ensure justice to the common people without harassment and enacted the country's constitution in nine months besides his others responsibilities, failure to pass a one page gazette regarding the matter is an extreme failure of the minister and secretary of the concerned ministry, the High Court bench of Justice Moyeenul Islam Chowdhury and Justice Md Ashraful Kamal observed.
The same High Court bench had delivered a short verdict on this issue on July 25 last year, following a suo moto (voluntary) ruling issued on March 3, 2015.
