The Supreme Court administration has suspended two administrative officers of the High Court Division finding allegations of unethical transactions to be true.
The suspended officers are Khan Md Sirajul Islam and Md Abdur Rashid, both of them were assigned as affidavit commissioner, according to a media statement issued by Supreme Court spokesperson Mohammad Saifur Rahman on Friday.
The statement said that while they were on duty, departmental cases were filed against the two officers as per the rules of service of the Supreme Court and they were suspended on charges of misconduct, corruption, and anti-office discipline.
Court lawyers and the court administration have become vocal about the corruption of the benches and branches of the Supreme Court. Following this, the Supreme Court Bar Association set up a complaint box to put a stop to corruption on the part of court officials.
