A Dhaka court has again placed Shamima Nur Papia, expelled general secretary of Jubo Mohila League’s Narsingdi District unit, and her husband Mofizur Rahman Sumon on 15-day remand in total in three cases.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debabrata Biswas placed Papia, her husband, and three of their associates on fresh 5 day remand each in a case filed against them with Airport police station for supplying counterfeit banknotes on Wednesday noon.
At the same time, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shorafuzzaman Ansari again placed Papia and her husband on 10-day remand each in two cases filed with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station for drugs and arms dealing.
Papia and Sumon were produced before the courts by RAB 1 officials with a 30-day remand prayer for each in the three cases.
General Recording Officer (GRO) of CMM court, Sub-Inspector (SI) Mahmudur Rahman confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
