The investigation reports of four quota movement cases will be submitted on June 25.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Golam Nabi rescheduled the submission day for the reports, as the investigating officer of the cases was unable to submit them on the given date i.e. May 17.

Mahmudur Rahman, general recording officer of the court, confirmed the information.

The cases involve vandalism at the Dhaka University (DU) Vice Chancellor’s (VC) house, burning cars, and hijacking a police walkie-talkie.

Earlier on April 10, the head of security of DU filed a lawsuit against the attack on the VC’s house.

The other three cases were filed by the Special Branch of police and officials of Shahbagh police station as plaintiffs.

However, no specific names were mentioned in the cases.

So far police have arrested four accused in the cases. They are - Rakibul Hasan, Ali Hossain Sheikh, Masud Alam, and Abu Sayeed Fazle Rabbi.

More than a thousand protesters entered the VC's residence on April 8 at 8pm while the protest for quota reform was going on in the DU campus.

They broke the main gate and went into the house. They had rods, hockey sticks, and bamboo sticks with them at the time.

Besides, several motorcycles were set on fire around the VC’s house.
