A Habiganj court has sentenced 10 people to death for killing a farmer 17 years ago.
Additional District and Session Judge Afroza Parvin gave the verdict on Wednesday morning.
The convicts are Ramiz Ali, Tariq Ullah, Abdur Rahman, Abdul Mannan, Bachchu Mia, Abdus Salam, Yusuf Ullah, Abdul Motaleb, Abdul Hannan and Nasim Ullah.
On October 29, 2001, the convicts hacked Abdur Razzak to death following a conflict centering the theft of a duck.
Later, Abdur's son filed a case with Baniachong police station accusing 27 people for the murder.
