A Dhaka court has fixed February 28 for submitting the investigation report against 14 people including BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in a case filed in connection with an explosion in a rally, taking place in 2015 nearby the party chief’s Gulshan office in Dhaka.
According to court sources, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nurun Nahar Yasmin earlier fixed Monday for the submission to the probe report.
The court came up with a new date for submission since the investigation office of the case, also an inspector of Shahbagh police station, could not submit the report on Monday.
According to the first information report of the case, Workers-Employee-Professional Freedom Fighters Parishad activists, led by Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, gathered in Gulshan to surround the BNP chairperson’s office when multiple crude bombs were exploded nearby.
After this incident, Dhaka Vehicle Union's General Secretary Ismail Hossain Bachchu filed a sabotage case against 14 people including BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, BNP Vice Chairman Selima Rahman, and BNP leader Khandker Mahbubur Rahman.
