Dhaka Court Reporters’ Association elects new president, general secretary

Md Abul Kalam Azad of Daily Ittefaq and Md Raihan Morshed of the Daily Alokito Bangladesh were on Sunday elected as the president and general secretary of the Dhaka Court Reporters’ Association (CRA) for 2017-2018. Other newly elected office bearers are vice presidents Md Zakaria Haidar of Alltime news 24.com and Moniruzzaman Hawlader of The Daily New Nation, Treasurer Md Robiul Islam Robi if The Daily New Age, Assistant general secretaries Md Rubel Hawlader from The Daily Ittefaq and MA Jalil Ujjal of The Daily Kaler Kantho, and Office and Publicity Secretary Shubhra Sinha Roy of Ntv online. The new members of the executive committee include Anowarul Kabir Babul of The Daily Jugantor, Chaitanya Chandra Halder from Daily Star, Sayeda Farida Yeasmin Jessi of Daily Janakantha, Md Gaffar Hossain Imon of the Daily Shakaler Khabor and Md Mostafa Kamal of My Tv. Former Dhaka Bar Association president Md Saidur Rahman Manik, also chief election commissioner for the CRA election, announced the results at the association’s office. Election commissioners Md Nazrul Islam Sardar and Hazrat Ali were also present during the announcement.
