Special Judge Court-3 Judge Abu Ahmed Jomadar passed the order at Bakshibazar’s makeshift court on Thursday.
Earlier in the day the BNP chief appeared before a Dhaka court in Zia Charitable Trust and Zia Orphanage Trust corruption cases.
The hearing commenced after 10:30am when the defence counsel started cross-examining Anti-Corruption Commission’s Deputy Director Harun-or-Rashid who filed the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.
ACC filed the Zia Charitable Trust graft case with Tejgaon police station on August 8, 2011, accusing four people, including Khaleda Zia.
Khaleda’s granddaughter Zafia Rahman was with her in court. Zafia is the eldest daughter of the former prime minister’s younger son Arafat Rahman Coco.
This is the first time anyone from the BNP chief’s family had accompanied her during a hearing, BNP Media Wing’s Sayerul Kabir Khan said.
