The Anti-Corruption Commission filed a case on Monday against former state minister for shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury over illegal assets worth about Tk6 crore and suspicious transactions worth more than TK13 crore.
Director General of ACC Md Akhter Hossain shared the information with reporters about the case filed by ACC Assistant Director Minhaj Bin Islam.
He said that Khalid, also a former MP from Dinajpur-2, acquired assets worth TK5.74, inconsistent with his known sources of income.
In addition, there are allegations of suspicious transactions totaling TK13 crore in 11 bank accounts and five credit card accounts in his name.
