The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested Sudhanshu Shekhar Bhadra, the former director general of the Directorate of Posts, in connection with a corruption case.
He was arrested by ACC Deputy Assistant Director Nazir Akand on Tuesday night.
ACC Deputy Director and Public Relations Officer Md Aktarul Islam on Wednesday confirmed that the process of presenting him before the court is underway.
On August 20, the ACC filed a case against Sudhanshu Shekhar Bhadra, alleging irregularities in the purchase of servers and UPS worth Tk15 crore under a government project. In 2020, he was placed on compulsory leave following charges of corruption and breach of discipline. At the time, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Posts and Telecommunications recommended his removal from office.
