Health Minister Zahid Malik on Wednesday said a drive will be conducted in all departments of his ministry, aiming to check irregularities and corruption.
The minister made the announcement while talking to reporters after the declaration of a “100-day program” of the ministry, reports UNB.
The government will not spare anyone if found involved in corruption, Malik said.
Secretaries to Health Services Department, Health Education, and Family Welfare Department will visit institutions at the divisional level to monitor their activities.
The minister said 100-bed cancer hospitals in all divisional cities and 10-bed kidney hospital in all districts will be set up.
Meanwhile, he said, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) will also be upgraded to a 5000-bed.
The health minister said the ministry will take an action plan as per the election manifesto of the ruling party.
