Dhaka University will regulate the entry of guests and general vehicles to its campus from the evening of July 19 until the early hours of July 20 as part of security measures for the FIFA World Cup 2026 final.

The information was shared in a notice issued by the university's Public Relations Office on Saturday afternoon.

According to the notice, from 6:30pm on July 19 until 6am on July 20, entry to the campus will be regulated for anyone other than the university's teachers, students, officers, and staff.

During this period, only vehicles bearing Dhaka University stickers and emergency service vehicles—including ambulances, vehicles carrying doctors and patients, journalists, ride-share vehicles, food delivery vehicles, online shopping delivery vehicles, and other government vehicles—will be allowed to enter the campus through the Shahbagh, Doyel Chattar, Shibbari Crossing, Fuller Road, and Nilkhet entrances. The entry and movement of all other vehicles will be regulated.

The road from Palashi through Doyel Chattar to the High Court intersection will remain open. Public transport and heavy vehicles will continue to be regulated as before.

University authorities said the measures have been taken to ensure the overall security of the Dhaka University campus and its students.
