“Begum Zia must give evidence as to her allegations. I challenge her to show if there was any corruption in the Padma Bridge project.”
Throwing a challenge at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said if she could not prove the alleged graft in the Padma Bridge project, cases would be filed against her.
“Cabinet Secretary Muhammad Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, head of the committee, will submit the report to me on Wednesday. I will review it and present it before the cabinet for scrutiny.”
The secretary-level committee reviewing the pay commission’s recommendations for a government pay-scale will submit report in two days, Finance Minister AMA Muhith has said.
