A man and his daughter have been killed in a road accident near Arenda bus stand on Narail-Lohagora highway under Lohagora upazila.
The deceased are Shahanur Alom, 48, head assistant of Lakshmipasha Mohila Degree College; and his daughter Indra, 8, a class III student of Litile Sun Kindergarten School.
Lohagora Officer-in-Charge Sheikh Lutfar Rahman said a Narail-bound bus hit Shahanur's motorcycle around 4pm Monday, leaving the duo dead on the spot.
A case was filed with Lohagora police station in this connection, the OC said.
