People can book tickets online for travelling on six steamers of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC).
A deal has been signed between BIWTC and Shohoz.com at the secretariat on Sunday afternoon.
Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan briefed reporters after the deal signing programme.
The minister said the steamer tickets would be available on Shohoz.com from May 1.
People can also book tickets by calling at 16374.
“The initiative has been taken to ease the sufferings of people,” said the minister.
