At least 25 workers of a garment factory in Savar have been injured while trying to leave the building during the earthquake that jolted the country on Saturday afternoon.
Of the injured, five were admitted to Enam Medical College Hospital.
Ashulia Industrial Police Director Mustafizur Rahman told the Dhaka Tribune that 25 workers of Al-Muslim garment factory were injured when the panicked workers were coming out of the factory
A major earthquake jolted the capital and parts of the country, causing panic among the people.
Nearly half an hour after the first tremor, aftershocks were felt again around 12:45pm.
The magnitude of the quake was 7.9 in Richter scale and the epicentre was located in Nepal, according to USGS.
