The government will provide a subsidy of Tk30.21 crore to farmers for the cultivation of Aush paddy, Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury has said.
She made the statement while addressing a press conference at the secretariat on Wednesday afternoon.
Matia said 210,000 farmers of 48 districts will be given a subsidy of Tk30.21 crore for Aush paddy cultivation.
The subsidy will include fertilisers, seeds, and irrigation facilities for the farmers, she added.
The minister said Tk1,350 will also be given to the farmers for cultivating Aush paddy while Tk1,970 will be given for the cultivation of Nerica.
